About Dr. Peshek

Dr. Andrew Peshek is a board-certified psychiatrist with over 20 years of experience. He earned his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio, and completed both his residency and fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania.

In June 2004, during his Mood & Anxiety Disorders fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Peshek participated in clinical trials involving neuromodulation, including the pivotal FDA trial for Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS). His early involvement in TMS research motivated him to integrate this therapy into his practice. To meet the increasing demand for TMS therapy and extend its availability beyond his private practice, he established Spark TMS Therapeutic Center in October 2018.

At Spark TMS, Dr. Peshek serves as the medical director, personally overseeing the development of individualized TMS protocols for each patient. TMS is an FDA-approved, non-invasive treatment for major depression (since 2008), migraines (since 2013), and obsessive-compulsive disorder (since 2018). It is designed to complement therapeutic counseling and can be used as an alternative or addition to medication.
